Tess Henderson is an amazing talent. At 23 years she is a prolific songwriter and her intense lyricism is startling. Her voice has been described by many as 'haunting'. The world is soon to discover this young woman whose bedroom crafted songs, full of raw emotion seep into the listener’s subconscious.

Tess Henderson loves all things unfinished, all puzzles with pieces missing. When it comes to her music career however, the pieces are rapidly falling into place.

Just as Tess was resigned to the fact that her songs were a pleasant past-time to be recorded in her friends’ bedrooms, one of the major pieces of her puzzle fell into place. In early 2005 her demo landed in the hands of her now main collaborator Mark Vanden Boom.

The songs traveled through several houses over the next two years and were created and recorded in rooms made sound proof with mattresses, doonas and duct tape.

With the puzzle complete, 2007 brings about the release of Tess' long awaited debut L.P. "Handmade by Thread". The album is a web of history and influence, philosophy and time spent singing and sharing the songs on this album have been sewn together by the people that have touched them; it is truly handmade by thread.

Even before the release of the album Tess' song ‘Triumph’ took on a life of its own garnering Unearthed reviews.....'once again beautifully haunting, what an amazing voice, special lyrics'.

It is supported by live shows featuring her backing band 'The Lovely Bones' featuring members of  'The Restless' and other fine Melbourne musicians.
