MENTAL OVERDRIVE - You are Being Manipulated

You Are Being Manipulated is the latest offering from Norwegian electronica legend Per Martisen under his Mental Overdrive moniker.

Martisen returns with a filtered, snare fuelled, bass-driven, dance floor burner, with a hypnotic simplicity once again reinforcing Per’s ominous reputation.

Album includes an electro infused cover of Iron Maiden’s Run To The Hills.

Per Martinsen and his Mental Overdrive project are a Norwegian electronica legend. Since his early days at the seminal R&S Records Martinsen has been one of the big innovators in electronic music.  His early material ranges from nosebleed industrial euro-ebm-techno to romantic electro ballads, and has garnered praise and raised eyebrows from Berlin to Detroit.

Already a long time part of the Norwegian dance scene, his new opus ‘You Are Being Manipulated’ sees a melody driven electro/acid/disco/house sound all of his own.

Per Martinsen returns with an album featuring his anthemic cover version of Iron Maiden’s ‘Run to the Hills’, the much hyped art/ebay experiment of ‘Elephantastic’ where the masters were up for auction, and recent singles ‘The Rage’ and ‘Spooks’.

With a new live set, Mental Overdrive is set to take to the road once more with new armoury in the shape of ‘You Are Being Manipulated’s melodic, prog-disco funk.
