BUTTAH - The Storyteller LP

Born of an artist, son of a cabinet maker, BUTTAH is an Australian emcee representing the far north.  Born in Brisbane, BUTTAH grew up in Cooktown, North Queensland where he developed his style and found his voice.  Studying theatre at JCU in Townsville, BUTTAH battled his way to the top of the hiphop scene with his first live performance at the 'Open War' battles in early 2005.

With friends The Vexed-Versa, Marvel and Rydakule the group THE SOLEMN PROPHETS formed to fulfil a prophecy whispered upon a haunting North Queensland breeze.  Driven by his own resolve and guided by the ghosts of the fallen hiphop geniuses who have influenced his music, BUTTAH's wickedly astute means of storytelling and funny flows have carried his hiphop whisperings nation wide with his debut album, The Storyteller LP.  BUTTAH has suported many Australian hip hop icons such as Pegz, Muph + Plutonic, The Optimen and Brad Strut (Cairns.)
